888 Noise
« on: August 02, 2012, 06:30:00 PM »

I am new to yoyoing, I bought a yoyo for my son a few months back and bought an extra one for myself and ended up getting hooked again. My first yoyos were Magic yoyos but a couple of weeks ago I bought a Yoyofactory 888. I like the way it performs, it is a little smaller and lighter than the Magic yoyos, but the bearings make a fairly loud whirring noise when the yoyo is spinning. I have removed the hubstacks but it still makes the noise. Is this normal and is there anything that I can do to make it quiter? Thanks

You can always put the teeniest drop of lube in the primary bearing. That though, will effect your yoyo's responsiveness.
