Not sure if it counts as a toy, but I suppose it is a skill. If a mod thinks this is better in unrelated, just say so

Anyway, I saw a show on discovery about mentalists and hypnosis last night, and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with hypnosis. It seems pretty cool, and I'm kinda interested in learning the art.
Anyone else's thoughts?

Hypnosis is not a toy.  But it is a skill.  Hmmm... it can stay here ;)

I've been hypnotized, it was a lot of fun.

It isn't so much that you believe what they are saying, it's just that you really try to believe.

really hard to explain, just go get hypnotized.

I am a magician and I have learned hypnosis techniques before. The only reason I dont perform them is because the success rate is terrible. You need a large audience and you need to test around ten people to see who is the most susceptible. That doesnt fit my style of magic at all. I also do NLP or neuro-linguistic programming, which is essentially hypnosis, but a lot more awesome.
I'm pretty impressed by anyone who can look at a drawing and decide how well the yoyo will play.
