Modding a YYJ Go Big?
« on: August 05, 2012, 01:18:52 PM »
Hi, modders of the nation. I recently picked up a YYJ Go Big, I've been do Offstring for a couple months now and am ready to move on to advanced 4a tricks. But my Go Big does spin for very long. Is there something I can do to get it to spin longer?
Thanks

Throw it harder...  8-)

But in all seriousness, my personal recommendation would be to clean the bearing and put silicone in the response. I find flush silicone slightly less grippy than YYJ's stock pads, but that's all personal preference. Cleaning the bearing will definitely help the spintime, but I think 4a yoyos inherently have a bit less because of the narrow gap and dramatic motion they undergo.
"Can you do the Eiffel Tower?"
"Hmm... you mean this trick? (does it)"
"Yeah, that one! That's so co-"
"Nope, I can't. Sorry."
