What can I do with this? UPDATED
« on: June 23, 2012, 10:59:30 AM »
So, my friend was trying to raw his magicyoyo T5 by using NaOH (I'm not going to talk about NaOH here but I know it's risky to use it), first try he basically messed up, second try is a bit better. It looks like this:

right: first try
left: second try
I have tried to sand it down a bit but it seems the scuff/holes/(whatever you may call it) is too deep. I think sanding down is not a good thing to do. I'm planning to get a can of silver spraypaint and trying to patch the hole, but I wonder if I can polish it well that way.
Any input? suggestions?
EDIT:

Finally I've found the best way!
If I can't remove these pits, lets make another pits lol
yeah basically

To me it looks like a yoyo I would just resilicone and put back together and play.   Your going to have a crazy hard time making it look good again.
You could maybe beadblast I supose.

Probably still possible to polish it.  Start with 80 grit though, that can remove most of the pits.

Are you trying to keep the lettering on it? Blast it or polish it, then play.

This yoyo is completely playable, I just wanting to at least make it looks better. Basically my friend said I can do anything with it, so it doesn't matter if I ruined this one.
As for sanding, after the ano being stripped, the weight seems to be reduced quite much, so sanding it down will ruin the weight I think. I have a modded T5 which I've tried to reduce its weight, yet this one is even lighter...

The cheapest and easiest thing would be to just spin it on a drill and sand it down with 220 grit sandpaper.  You'd still have some pits, but it would probably look a lot better.  The weight change would be minimal if you don't do it for too long.

Isn`t powdercoating the best option here for aesthetics and weight-filling-wise?

Probably yes, but since I'm not an expert on these, also I have no idea where to get it coated, this is probably the last option other than painting...
