Kido Yoji- A funk/dance/pop producer who makes feel good songs. Check out his newer EP, "Call a Romance."

Poindexter- Another funk/dance/pop producer. Check out his EP, "Forever"

Jensen Sportag- A Nashville duo, having a really dreamy electronic pop sound. Check out "Pure Wet"

Sam Padrul- A producer with a disco-y, funk-y, house sound akin to artists such as Breakbot.

All of these artists can be sampled on Soundcloud.

Been enjoying techno/triphop

Justice (techno at it's best)- Love the song "Dance"
Blockhead(mellow triphop if you give his older stuff a listen)-"insomniac olympics" is a perfect example of what i like about him
metaform(more mellow triphop)-"bubblegum" is one of his lesser known songs but definitely my fave
miike snow(electropop)-really all their stuff is awesome but if i had to choose one it'd be "cult logic"
little people(some of the coolest techno I've heard)-"start shootin" has almost a horror aspect to it for me and I love it

I cannot get enough of the Freak Fandango Orchestra

Their music is an "explosive mixture of folk, polka, gypsy music from the Balkans and punk-rock. The band is composed by musicians with lots of different instruments (guitar, bass, drums, violin, saxophone, trumpet, accordion and percussion)" (from their website)

Their music is on Creative Commons on Jamendo.com
Their band website is http://www.freakfandango.es/

I listen to a lot of modern Norwegian jazz. I listen to a lot of avant-garde music in general too. I still like traditional jazz, classical music and some of the more soulfull pop-artists.

Glass Hammer. A prog-rock group that is way too underrated for their ability.

From the eighties, Sadistik Execution, a sporadic Death Metal Band form Australia, they were very technical with their solos...Good stuff, since they joked around a lot.  One of their best songs is Astral Abortis.  Their years of existince were form 1986 to 1999...
Yeah, you heard me right.

The Pogues: Irish band, notable for pioneering Folk punk music. Known for their lead singer Shane MacGowan who had some gnarly teeth and substance abuse problems.

The Dubliners: Most popular Irish folk band of all time. Known for their beards and amazing talent.

Woody Guthrie: American Folk musician. Known for inspiring every American Folk musician you've ever heard.

Gor For Origin then...

From my faves, Cryptopsy, A 90's Brutal Death metal band from Canada.  There older stuff is way better.

And Oppressor, the fathers of Technical Death Metal, imo.  they are from the 90's, also.
Yeah, you heard me right.

Origin is almost too noisy for me, I mean I dig grind, like Brutal Truth and Magrudergrind but they have a certain type of noise without too much going on.

Cryptopsy is that deal though, fantastic technical death.

As for Oppressor, I wouldn't say they were the sole fathers of technical death, as the bands Death and Cynic were out before them and playing just as technical(if not more) riffs. Regardless who done it first though, I'm ever thankful of it's existance. O0

I agree.  For old school death metal, I love Bolt Thrower and Exmortem.  Bolt Thrower was an awseome UK band.

Under the thrash metal genre, I prefer :
Exodus(California for the win!)
Venom(UK)
Tankard (Germany)
For Black metal, I love:
Belphegor and Behemoth.

Also, for those Slam/Brutal death fans, try some Extermination Dismemberment and Defeated Sanity.

Industrial :
Assemblage 23
Apoptygma Berzerk
I listen to a lot of different genres, so I can recommend anything...
Yeah, you heard me right.

Can't beat classic dm. I'm pretty big into grind as well. Brutal Truth and Pig Destroyer are that deal haha.
