EDIT: For whatever reason, it won't let me image link to flickr.. so those are urls now.

I took a stroll through my flickr account to find a few things to add to the thread :)

I have included extremely unique yo-yos as well as a small handful of 1-of-a-kind mods.. if you'd like to limit it to custom creations, I'll edit and remove the mods.

________

S.kon "Card".. whole yoyo breaks down into a business card case. These were sold briefly, but this predates that version and is handmade.. much higher quality than what was sold publicly. I have both a large and small bearing version of this.. I believe the production version was a large bearing.

This one is really a mod, but I've always liked it.. it's a Dif-e-yo GTO with a click-adjustable gap from a mondial. I have another version where I converted the mondial to a modern sticker response and put it into a fhz body.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyotoys/5595974486/

The Bird's Nest yo-yo. This was made several years ago as a display piece for the world yoyo contest. It is modeled after the 'bird's nest stadium' built for the Beijing Olympics. Plastic body, steel hub and weight rings.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyotoys/5595388523/

The S.kon Nostalgia.. likely the greatest yo-yo ever made. Not only is it insanely beautiful, insanely complex (138 parts.. all hand made), but it is insanely smooth and plays wonderfully. This one was made for me shortly after it won the World Mod Contest.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyotoys/5595971458/

Wooden Freehand mod.. made from a cherry wood TK RD-Two body, EX rings, and a fhz.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyotoys/5595386731/

This is the White Glove.. it was made for the charity mod contest that Heath did. It started life as a very horrible skywalker reject.. it got a dns hub, kept the skywalker shell, got an acrylic body extension, the skywalker rim and a brass inlay on the rim.

Alph with wooden inlay.. the rim is actually split apart, the wood is inset, and the rim is put back on seamlessly.

Enjoy :)

Kyle

You can argue with me if you want... but you'll still be wrong.

I'm not so sure the rims were satined after-market.  (The satin job is incredibly straight and perfectly even, so I might just leave this as is.)

I can confirm that the rims were satined after market by a good friend of mine. I will tell him of your opinion on his job. O0

Lots of Bists in this thread, so here is my contribution.

First off my prized Bist Stradivari:

And then the elusive Bist Toxic (the Gleipnir is for reference):

So you're the guy who won the Stradivari  :coolsmiley: :-o

Ehhmmm..no, I did nt won it (did I use "prized" incorrectly?).

If memory helps, only two were actual prizes. One of them is in the hands of Emil Wójcik, the other one of an italian yoer.

The first generation Timeless Cygnus.
It's uniqueness comes from the coating.
Not even a Timeless team member could tell me what it was.
Btw, if anybody has one, I will offer generously for it.
I used to have one. They play absolutely amazingly.
The posts are for "nitro bolts" (as to comply with YYFs patent on hubstacks) they use a sized D bearing, o-rings, and a rubber "cap" (but I had ricerocket make me ricestacks cut to fit on the d-sized bearings)

Again, if ANYBODY has one, I NEED it. Please.

That looks a lot like an eggshell painted finish.

All I know is that when I (and ricerocket tried when I had him fix three stripped axle in my old one) tried to satin it off of the posts, it wouldn't come off, even when I used super-low grit. It just turned black.

It's more than likely a powder then.

Have you stripped or lost your axle? PM me. I have brand new replacement axles for just about any newer metal yoyo for $2.50 shipped.

Mother of god, that is absolutely beautiful. I don't care about the finish, but that is fantastic.

Maybe he cant finish his shop assignment because his dog ate his Bridgeport.
